The Nike Zoom Lebron 2 (II) Low – Black / Black was created for the summer time. These are actually the first pair of Lebron James to be released during the summer.
The Nike Zoom LeBron 2(II), which was released on 2008 just in time to greet the upcoming Olympics, was the upgraded version of the Zoom LeBron Soldier 1.
Replacing the oversized strap in front with leather upper with lace pulls for breathability and putting the iconic King James logo on the side, this is yet another shoe which oozes of LeBron James’ personality. There are also holes decorating the midsole and through the toe box, a herringbone pattern which people would refer to as the milk crate technology. This was inspired from the story of James playing basketball with a milk crate back when he was young.
The Nike Zoom LeBron 2(II), like the rest of the shoes in the nike zoom lebron franchise, makes use of the Zoom Air unit in that gives maximum impact protection to counter any off-balance landing. Truly, this is the shoe you’d want to wear both while shooting hoops in grueling basketball games and even during practice games on the street.
The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games being the set for the arrival of these new shoes, it’s no wonder the Zoom LeBron Soldier 2 is a hit not just in the United States but even in China, and other parts of the world. LeBron James, after all, was part of the United States team that took the gold medal against Spain during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Whether in the home court or faraway, LeBron’s skills simply do not diminish, and it’s thanks to his shoes that he’s able to pick any of his battles – and win.
